Nothing-awesomeness

Yesterday I did nothing. Didn't walk, didn't bike, I thought about going to canoe in the afternoon, didn't do that either. Just spend the day breathing in and breathing out.
This day of nothingness was a first one in months that I took. It wasn't plan, just a spur of the moment thing.
I even watch TVs; a marathon of Viking. Like in a previous time, I took a snack while watching the shows, the difference being that it was not chocolate and chips, it was a cup of unsweet corn flakes cereal.
I also drove to Ottawa, picked up my daughter at her job and went to do a little shopping. I need a pair of hiking shoes, I found one pair that was comfortable but was $120. I did something I never did before, I told the young lady that was helping me that I'll wait for them to go on sale before buying. She didn't rolled her eyes or yelled in the store “HEY WE HAVE A CHEAP ONE OVER HERE!”, she said: “OK let me write down the model for you.”
So now I'm shoe-less but I feel great about yesterday. Sometime nothing is what we need. What didn't you do yesterday?

  1. Sometimes those nothing days are great. But that wasn't my case. Yesterday was total madness. I spent the entire day doing renos in the house. Then my husband and I went to a reno store to get more reno store to do more reno things. It's going to be that way for the next three weeks. If you have nothing to do and need to do something, come here; we've got plenty for you to do! :)

    1. Thanks for the offer Martha but I'm more in demolition than reno... you really don't want to see me with a hammer LOL

Seriously, the time you are investing right now is going to make a huge difference when you sell, sweat equity it's call!

    1. Also when you trained like jogging and weight lifting, your body need time to recuperating. If you don't take rest day, you might end up hurting yourself. Keep it up your are doing great, by the way!

  3. That's a good story and I like that she wrote the number down for you. Pretty cool beans. Yesterday, I did bills, bills, bills, and more bills. Then we hit Barnes. So lots of good.

Today, I didn't do anything and I wish I'd had but I didn't so time to move on to the rest of the night. About ready to go walk the pups.

    1. I don't do bills anymore, I have set it up that the company just paid themselves in my bank account. This way, I'm never late and they are always paid in full.

I don't see you as a person that is just sitting around doing nothing.

    2. We have a few things on auto-pay but not all of them. Neat service though.

Oh yeah, I can loaf around with the best of them. Stick me in the movie room, Lucy on DVD and bookend pups, and I'm not going anywhere.

Right now though, I'm writing to you from Barnes. I'm studying bakes but needed a little brain-brake.

  4. I did not sit all day. I did not eat at a drive-thru. I did not have dessert after dinner. I did not stay up late watching television. There were many things I did not do today...it was a good day

    1. Great stuff Lee!

Most of them all... " I did not have dessert after dinner" stay away from refined sugar, this is a big one for me that explains most of my success.

    2. I mean to ask, did you find good spots to walk?

    3. I did use Wal-mart until a knee injury. Now that I am not using a cane anymore, I am using a stationary bike until my walking is more steady.

  5. The price for the hiking shoes doesn't sound too insane actually, if they're a good quality pair.
