Cheerios

Have you ever wonder if blogging is worth it?

My sister in law and her husband are visiting for a week. I know that she is kneeling in front of reading the blog every day.

On Wednesday when they arrived, she told me she has been eating Cheerios since she read about our breakfast.
As I don’t have sponsors (and will never have), I don’t promote any product. I just share my experience about what is or is not working for me.

Let me tell you something: My sister in law is not helping my very obese ego which could use some diet of its own! LOL Yesterday, they invited us for spaghetti. Because my brother in law knows we are in a health-marathon, he told us to each serve our own plate. Isn’t this the most thoughtful things ever!

So to my question: Yes it is more than worth it. If I can inspire someone about making one change that result in them getting healthier, I’m high fiving myself!

Tomorrow it’s Easter, so I’ll take a day off from blogging. It’s going to be great because I’m so late about reading and commenting, I can use some time off… Have a great Easter my friends! Don’t forget about your health, do the egg race, it’s a good exercise, but beware of those bunnies! :)

  1. Blogging is worth it if you ask me. It helps you focus and reflect. I just celebrated six years at my foolsfitness blog and I'm keeping going with it. Plus when I'm struggling or just want some encouragement I'm reading others blogs. They may bring up something I have yet to focus on or give ideas. I thank Blogspot for letting us all do this.

Well Happy Easter. I'm going huntin' for that bunny, I hear he's got chocolate eggs!

  5. yes, yes, it is worth it. I have been reading and trying to change my health for years but it is still such a struggle. After finding your blog just a few days ago, you have given me the one thing I haven't gotten from the many others. Hope and a new perspective. I have gathered bits and pieces from others but now I have a new approach and new ideas. Walking at a Wal-mart! I do not have access to a swimming pool, city sidewalks or a safe road, but I have access to large mega-stores. When nature along the hiking trail is too much for my asthma, I now won't be defeated. When I feel failure because I cannot accomplish all I expect, I now remember that I am carrying an extra 100 lbs and feel proud for what I do complete. My head carries the knowledge of what I need to do and now you given my heart the confidence that it can be done. Thank You and have a Blessed Easter

  7. I find blogging helps me focus, but on the rare occasion when someone who actually knows me in real life has stumbled across my blog, it kinda freaked me out! LOL I'm honest on my blog and it's the real me, but maybe that's the problem -- it's very personal. I know it sounds strange, but it's easier for me to be honest about my personal struggles with people I may never know in real life.

    1. I understand Anna, but for me I even write on facebook when I have a new post. I think that if my friends or family feels threaten or doesn't approve me, it's their problem.

But so far, everyone has been supportive. Who amongst your true friends or families wouldn't want you to not better your health? The answer might be a whole post at one point :)

  8. What a great perspective! I think it is worth it to me because it keeps me on the right path. I may not always be perfect, but I stay on the rails, so to speak. My blog is for me, but if anyone can get anything out of it, so much the better!!

I first though I was blogging for others, I'm getting so much more than I'm giving!
